Services

Anderson and Co. provide a wide selection of services, from business and taxation planning to accounting and audit to bookkeeping and payroll. Our client portfolio, which includes private individuals as well as companies, covers almost all market sectors.

Accounts Preparation

Every business needs to have annual financial statements prepared to:

  • ensure the business owners have an up-to-date view of how the business has been performing.
  • meet taxation compliance regulations.
  • enable companies to comply with Companies House filing regulations.
  • SSP, SMP, AEO'S and CSA Payments.
  • enable financial institutions to assess the profitability and financial position of both the business and its owners.

Accounting and Audit

Company Law requires larger companies, and some other entities to have an audit.
Anderson & Co. are authorised as registered auditors by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and are, therefore, able to carry out audit work for:

  • Charities
  • Clubs and Associations
  • Pension schemes
  • Plc's
  • Private limited companies
  • Solicitors
  • Other regulated bodies including ABTA, PIA, RICS, etc

Business Advice

Anderson & Co believe that all clients can benefit from the wealth of experience within its practice in respect of all issues included within this wide ranging subject. Business advice covers three main areas as follows:

  • Business start up advice. Establishing the process and procedure to keep the company on track.
  • Development of the business - to devise a strategy for the business.
  • Cash and profitability - to establish that cash funds are available to re-invest in the business.

This section clearly covers a wide-ranging set of areas including overall business plans, profit and loss and cashflow forecasts, corporate finance, marketing plans and human resources. Anderson & Co. can assist in each or all of these areas and together with you, the client, and your knowledge of the business, a sound footing can be established for your business's future.

Taxation - Personal and Corporate

Nobody likes paying tax - it is therefore important to be sure that the advice you receive keeps your tax liabilities to a minimum. This is best accomplished through effective tax planning encompassing the following:

  • Ensuring returns are completed accurately and on time.
  • Looking forward for any tax planning opportunities and pitfalls.
  • Taking steps to reduce forthcoming tax liabilities.
  • Estimating such liabilities with a view to assisting cashflow planning

VAT - Compliance

With VAT legislation becoming increasingly complicated, effective advice is vital in supporting the VAT affairs of both of our incorporated and unincorporated clients.

Our services are designed to take the pressure off the client. This may take the form of reviewing the output from the clients' system or in our actually preparing returns on the clients' behalf.

We aim to turn VAT compliance into a positive business benefit by promoting an efficient way of working which frees up client time to let them develop their business.

Payroll Services

Each pay period, you can telephone, fax or e-mail the hours and any amendments or variables and we calculate:

  • Gross to net pay
  • PAYE and National Insurance
  • Voluntary Deductions
  • SSP, SMP, AEO'S and CSA Payments
  • Pensions
  • Class 1A National Insurance

Management Accounts

Most profitable businesses rely upon accurate and timely financial data in order to make well-informed decisions. This often takes the form of internal management accounts prepared monthly or quarterly.

However, some businesses do not have sufficient in-house resources to produce their own management accounts or are looking to outsource this aspect of their business.

We can provide a cost-effective service, using experienced, computer literate staff, who are ably supported by experts in our VAT and tax departments as required.
